Ottawa Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson tied a team record help by Filip Kuba when he registered two assists in his team win against the Colorado Avalanche Friday. By doing so, Karlsson recorded his 14th assist of the season, joining Kuba for most assists recorded in the first 15 games of a season in franchise history. What's most impressing is that Karlsson did so in only 10 games, because he missed the first five Senators games this season!

Karlsson reached another milestone, during that game, as he passed Roman Hamrlik and tied Sandis Ozolinsh for the fifth most career multi-point games by a European born defenseman with 117.

Erik Karlsson, 27, was drafted 15th overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2008. In 565 games played, he registered 469 points. He added 37 points in 48 playoff games. The Swedish defenseman won two Norris Trophies (best defenseman) for the 2011-2012 and 2014-2015 seasons.
