It doesn't sound good.

The Boston Bruins have a tough decision ahead of them regarding forward Loui Eriksson, and it doesn't sound like they are in any kind of rush to get it done.

According to a report from ESPN insider Pierre Lebrunhe has been informed by Eriksson's agent that the Bruins were expected to present Eriksson with a new offer, but have yet to do so.

"Don and I have been in regular communication," Eriksson's agent J.P. Barry of CAA SPorts said via text message Thursday afternoon. "We were expecting a new offer from the Club at some point but we haven’t received one yet. I’m sure we will speak again prior to the draft about their intentions."

Barry's choice of words here are curious, he clearly says "we were expecting a new offer" does that mean he no longer expects the Bruins to present Eriksson with another offer? He further indicates that the teams intentions aren't clear to him by stating those intentions will be discussed prior to the draft.

LeBrun states in his report that Bruins general manager Don Sweeney has not yet given up on signing the talented forward, although time is running out and the ball appears to be in Sweeney's court.
