Evander Kane's daughter has lost her life

In case you missed it, San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane took a personal leave of absence from the team earlier this week. Until now, little information has come out about Kane’s leave, leaving many to speculate the worst about a man who, in many people’s eyes, has a questionable past. On this page in particular we covered a story in which a fan alleged that Kane was absent from the team to deal with legal issues. As it turns out, that couldn't be further from the truth and we regret the decision to cast Kane in this light.

Earlier today Kane took to social media to clear the air and shared some truly awful and tragic news.

However you may feel about Kane, this news has to hit you like a punch in the gut. Kudos to the Sharks organization for giving Evander and his wife the time they need to properly process their feelings. I can’t even begin to imagine what they’re going through right now.
