Fans outraged after yet another controversial review!
In game action

Once again, the National Hockey League offered fans another controversial offside review, Friday night.

Just hours after the league admitted an overturned goal from one of Thursday's games should have counted, it was the Buffalo Sabres' turn to be on the wrong end of another challenge.

The goal was scored by Vancouver Canucks forward Daniel Sedin, but on a play it seemed as though Jake Virtanen was clearly offside. The Sabres challenged the call, resulting in a lengthy review that lasted closed to five minutes.

The call on the ice of a good goal was eventually upheld, and Sabres head coach Phil Housley could not believe it.

And he was not the only one. Fans and experts took on to Twitter to share their frustration, on a goal that to them and many other should have been overturned.

Housley was adamant about his decision to challenge the play and tried his best not to criticize too much the work of the officials.

"I disagree with the call - totally," Housley told reporters after the game, per Buffalo News' John Vogl. "(Virtanen) knocks the puck out of the air. He never has possession. If you call that possession, then as long as I've been in the league it's a different answer or explanation than they gave.

"I'd call that 10 out of 10 times offside, and I'd continue to challenge that again."

The NHL is need to do more work with these offside reviews...
