The Las Vegas Golden Knights have lost their first ever player to a major injury.

According to a breaking news report from Sin Bin Vegas, 24-year-old forward Reid Duke has suffered a significant shoulder injury and has undergone corrective surgery to repair the damage.

As a result the Golden Knights' winger is now expected to miss the next four to six months as he recovers from the process, a big time loss for the Golden Knights to put it mildly.

Unfortunately for Reid this also appears to mean that he will not only be the first player ever signed by the Golden Knights, but also the first player they ever place on long-term injured reserve.
