Flames alumni celebrate the 31 year anniversary of the Stanley Cup championship in perfect quarantine fashion

Today marks the 31st anniversary of the Calgary Flames sole Stanley Cup championship. Who can forget the look of pure joy and jubilation on Flames captain Lanny McDonald when he FINALLY got to lift Lord Stanley's mug?

It's one of the most iconic photos on hockey history:



And just as you might imagine the captain was right on top of things when the Flames asked him to coordinate some sort of "social distancing" commemoration of his team's championship run. Leave it Lanny to do things right.

Honestly... that's just perfect. Especially considering the memorial to Brad McCrimmon who sadly passed away in 2011 as a result of the tragic Yaroslav Lokomotiv plane crash.
