Flames call up young prospect
Keystone Press

The Calgary Flames have recalled defenseman Rasmus Andersson from the Stockton Heat (AHL), the team announced on Sunday. The 23-year old had a strong season so far, as he registered eight points in ten games played.

Andersson was drafted 53rd by the Flames in 2015. He played one game with the Flames last season, without registering a point.  Last year, in his first pro season, he registered 22 points in 54 games played in the AHL.

The Swedish defenseman played his junior hockey with the Barrie Colts (OHL), where he registered 143 points in 155 games played.

This roster move is linked to the injury to defenseman Travis Hamonic, who will miss at least a week.
