Flames can’t find Peters ahead of tonight’s game

The coaching staff haven’t spoken to him since as they try to get ready for tonight’s game…

The Calgary Flames are continuing their investigation on head coach Bill Peters, who has accused of making racist remarks at former player Akim Aliu during the 2009-10 season with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.

There was more on top of that: Frank Seravelli of TSN gave more information, using the comments of former Carolina Hurricanes players who were coached by Peters and it seems like there was also an abuse issue.

Former Canaes player Michal Jordan confirms to TSN that there were “multiple” physical altercations between Peters and players in Carolina.

That's why the Flames decided last night that Peters will not be behind the team’s bench tonight for the game against the Sabres in Buffalo. Associate coach Geoff Ward will handle head coaching duties, but the interim bench boss has revealed to Eric Francis and TSN that he has not spoken to Peters and does not know where he is at the moment.

Ward added that he hasn’t been told anything about his own status other than being told he was running practice yesterday and will be running the bench tonight.

It seems like it's a matter of time before Peters gets the boot in Calgary. Ward needs to focus on a game plan and not on finding his boss...
