Flames prospect Popisil climbs the glass and tries to fight a fan

Things got ROWDY last night in the United States Hockey League (USHL)! Midway through a game between the Omaha Lancers and Sioux City Musketeers in Omaha, Mukseteers forward Martin Popisil was serving a penalty when some Lancers fans decided it was a smart idea to throw garbage on the 19 year old Popisil. As you might imagine, Popisil, a Calgary Flames prospect, didn’t take too kindly to the gesture.

Popisil blew a fuse and attempted to get to the fans behind him, going so far as to stand on the penalty box bench and attempt to climb into the crowd. It was a WILD scene, to say the least.

Check it out:

You know what? Good on this kid. This might be an overreaction, but those fans who threw garbage at a teenager boy are losers. Plain and simple.

As for Popisil, this is sure to endear him to Flames fans even more. The 19 year old former fourth round pick (105th overall in 2018) is having an outstanding season with the Musketeers with 12 goals and 43 points in 33 games.
