Vegas Golden Knights star goalie Marc-Andre Fleury is usually easy-going, but fans got to see another side of him on Wednesday when he was apparently ready to drop his mitts.

The Golden Knights won a fifth straight game, against the Calgary Flames, last night and while it was cause for celebration, things got pretty heated up. Fleury was livid after he was knocked over by Matthew Tkachuk and his teammates went to his defense as a line brawl started up near his crease. Tkachuk got up in Fleury’s face, however, the star goalie had no interest in fighting him.

He wanted one man only: he challenged Flames netminder David Rittich to a fight. Flower put his stick down in his own zone and stared Rittich down, who awaited on the opposing blue line.

However, none of two goalies dare to cross the line and start an epic goalie fight.

After the game, Fleury admitted that he was ready to drop the gloves and fight Rittich. However, it was revealed that Golden Knights head coach Gerard Gallant wasn't fond of that idea, so it's a good thing both players remained behind the lines.

According to Hockey Fights, Fleury scrapped twice in the QMJHL but has yet to record one at the NHL level. It almost came true last night, so who knows, we might be getting close to his first NHL fight.
