This afternoon, the Golden Knights are in Toronto to face off against the Maple Leafs in a second consecutive away game in the East. Vegas came away with a 2-1 win on Tuesday against the Blue Jackets in Columbus.

Coach Gallant made a few minor adjustments to his line combinations ahead of today's game. Brandon Pirri will take back his spot on the 3rd offensive line as Alex Tuch is still out with an injury. Pirri will replace tomas Nosek who will be sidelined today. Pirri will play alongside Cody Eakin and rookie Cody Glass.

On defense, Nicholas Hague steps back into the lineup, he will take Jon Merrill's place on the 2nd defensive pairing. The latter will replace Nick Holden on the 3rd defensive pair, who in turn will be sidelined consequently.

Keeping that in mind, the most important modification made to the Golden Knight's roster for the game against the Leafs is that Malcolm Subban will be starting in front of the net. Marc-André Fleury will act as his backup today despite having earned the W on Tuesday in Columbus. To be fair, Fleury has seen quite a lot of ice time this season and resting him may not be the worst idea.

As for as the rest of the team goes, it should look very similar to the one that faced the Blue Jackets earlier this week.

Here is the Golden Knights' projected lineup for the game against the toronto Maple Leafs according to NHL.com correspondent Dave McCarthy:

Forwards:

Jonathan Marchessault - William Karlsson - Reilly Smith

Max Pacioretty - Paul Stastny - Mark Stone

Brandon Pirri - Cody Eakin - Cody Glass

William carrier - Nicolas Roy - Ryan Reaves

Defensemen:

Brayden McNabb - Nate Schmidt

Nicholas Hague - Shea Theodore

Jon Merrill - Deryk Engelland

Goaltenders:

Malcolm Subban

Marc-André Fleury

Tomas Nosek and Nick Holden will be the healthy scratches tonight as previously mentioned. Alex Tuch is out with a second injury this season, while Valentin Zykov is still suspended.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Vegas Golden Knights are offensive powerhouses. Look for a quick paced game with many goals coming from both sides. It should yet again be a great game to watch.
