For a team who very few thought would be a factor this season, boy are they proving those people wrong.

The Florida Panthers won their 11th consecutive game tonight against the Ottawa Senators. Once again Roberto Luongo was a big factor making 32 shots in their 3-2 win.

The Panthers defense has been incredible during the streak. In their 11 wins, they have only given up 14 goals. Which is pretty nuts. They now are 5 points up on the Montreal Canadiens for 1st in the Atlantic division. The Panthers have built their defense like a Western conference team with size and toughness. Dave Tallon was a main factor putting together a pretty great Chicago Blackhawks team and he is now doing the same in Florida.

Their first line of Aleksander Barkov, Jonathan Huberdeau and the ageless Jaromir Jagr have been fantastic and they have been getting some solid support from the rest of the team. They have truly been one of the great stories of this season.

Let's see just how long they can keep it going. They have a favorable schedule over the next few games facing teams that aren't in a playoff spot if they were to start tomorrow.
