Fluke accident results in Daniel Sedin taking a puck to the mouth.

That's just bad luck.

This was a very strange fluke, but that's not going to be any comfort for Vancouver Canuck Daniel Sedin,

Sedin was cut open on Monday during the opening minutes of a game between his Canucks and the Arizona Coyotes. The cut was caused when Sedin was struck in the face by a puck, not so uncommon an occurrence in the game of hockey.

However the puck didn't come from another player's stick, but rather it came after being slapped in mid air by Coyotes forward Max Domi, who appeared to be attempting to clear the puck out of his own zone.

Unfortunately, it someone found its way into Daniel's face.
