The news was bad this morning regarding forward Sean Couturier was not good and it's just gotten much worse.

There is now a report from Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press claiming that he has received an official time frame on Couturier's recovery from the Philadelphia Flyers themselves. According to Whyno Couturier is expected to miss somewhere between four to six weeks of play with what is "believed to be a knee injury."

Several reports today have identified the injury as an MCL sprain, although the Flyers have not yet officially confirmed those reports. Couturier is one of the best two-way forwards on the roster and his loss will be a huge blow to the Flyers.

The good news here continues to be that Scott Laughton has been called up as a replacement, and he has been looking good as of late.
