The Philadelphia Flyers made a heartbreaking announcement on Friday afternoon, confirming that forward Oskar Lindblom will miss the remainder of the season as he has been diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma.

Ewing’s sarcoma is a very rare type of cancerous tumor that grows in your bones or the soft tissue around your bones.

The Flyers promise to support Lindblom in his recovery, he who is now expected to return for the 2019-20 season. He will undergo further testing and start treatment immediately.

The team asks that media members to give him some privacy as he fights this disease with courage.

Here at Hockey Feed, we want to let Lindbolm know that he is in our hearts and thoughts. Standing by you through the fight!
