Flyers pick up huge win against a team they are chasing!

The Flyers made a big push towards making the playoffs tonight by beating the team they are directly behind for the final wild card spot, the Detroit Red Wings.

Shayne Gostisbehere once again scored a huge goal which ended up being the winner. Anything this guy touches is golden. It was a solid team effort and a great effort from Mason that helped the Flyers pick up the two points. It won't be easy making the playoffs, we all know that. However, the Flyers are now only 1 point back of Detroit and have two games in hand.

The schedule doesn't get any easier. Their next game is against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. Philly plays the Red Wings one more time before the end of the season. The Flyers also play the Penguins 3 more times this season. The Penguins are only 4 points ahead and Philly has one game in hand.

If the Flyers can continue to put in solid efforts and get some great goaltending, the playoffs might be a possibility!
