Flyers prospect is absolutely heating it up in AHL
Keystone Press

The Philadelphia Flyers have many highly touted prospects but one of them is already killing it in the American Hockey League.

Danick Martel who signed a few years ago as an undrafted forward already have 14 goals and 5 assists in 15 games with Leigh Valley. Martel is coming of back to back 20 goal seasons in the AHL and is on pace to double it this year. Martel at one point had a 6 game goal streak. He has a very comfortable lead as the AHL leading goal scorer with only Garnet Hathaway behind him with 9 goals. It will not be surprising if the Flyers look to call up Martel soon.

Martel was a fan favorite and an elite player in junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and was signed by the Flyers after they were impressed by his dominating performances with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. His last junior season was absolutely unreal with 102 points in 64 games!
