Flyers suffer another injury between the pipes.

The Philadelphia Flyers appear to have finally stabilized at the goaltending position especially with the impressive play of Michal Neuvirth this season.

However injuries at the position have been an issue for Philadelphia, and last week Steve Mason was revealed to be dealing with another injury despite previous denials from head coach Dave Hakstol. This was particularly relevant because Neuvirth appeared to be dealing with some pain himself, but in lieu of the Mason injury he continued to play.

Now however it's Neuvirth who has been sidelined with an injury, and one has to wonder if he may have pushed himself too hard to allow Mason to fully recuperate. While it does not appear to be a particularly severe injury, Flyers insider Sam Carchidi is reporting he could miss up to 10 days as a result of this latest setback.

The injury comes at a critical time for the Flyers who are still somewhat in limbo when it comes to playoff contention this season. The Flyers have called up Anthony Stolarz in response to this injury.
