The Philadelphia Flyers are currently one of the hottest teams in the National Hockey League and a major turn around in their season has now put them on a nine game winning streak.

The Flyers picked up a hard fought 1-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday night for their ninth in a row but it came at a cost, with Philadelphia losing yet another of it's top defensemen.

A report from CSN's Tim Panaccio has revealed that Mark Streit suffered a sprained left shoulder on Sunday night and will be out until at least the Flyer's next game against the Colorado Avalanche, that game is two days away on Wednesday night.

It's a big loss for the Flyers who are already dealing with an injury to star defenseman Shane Gostisbehere, he suffered a bone bruise in his hand in Saturday's game against the Dallas Stars, one made even more prevalent given the role both men play on the power-play.

No clear timeline on how long Streit is expected ot be out.
