Simmonds dominates as Flyers continue their winning ways!

The Flyers continued their hot play as they look to lock up a playoff spot. This time it was Wayne Simmonds who led the way with 2 goals and 1 assist as the Flyers beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2.

Wayne scored both his goals as he usually does, by being right in front of the net. His first goal was on a sick tip off a pass from Jakub Voracek who picked off a bad pass from a Senators' forward. Voracek stopped the puck just inside the blueline and fired a pass right away to Simmonds who headed in front of the net. Simmonds turned his blade to tip it past Craig Anderson and that he did putting it shelf. The second goal was on a rebound during a power play.

The Flyers are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games. They continue to hold onto that last wild card spot. They are still tied with Detroit who also won today. However, Detroit passed Boston in the Atlantic and now the Flyers have a 1 point lead over those Bruins. Philadelphia also still has a game in hand on Boston and Detroit.
