According to CapFriendly.com, New York Rangers RFA Daniel Catenacci has avoided arbitration and has signed a one year extension with the team worth $650,000.

Catenacci was originally drafted by the Buffalo Sabres 77th Overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and has yet to make his Rangers debut since being acquired by them from the Sabres in exchange for defenseman Mat Bodie this past February. Now 24 years-old, Catenacci had a successful junior hockey career in the OHL with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and Owen Sound Attack where he had multiple 30 goal seasons. He was also drafted 1st overall by the Greyhounds in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection.
