Former 30 goal scorer expected to be dealt in exchnage for help on defense.

It's a move that makes a great deal of sense.

Don't look now but the Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the most heavily involved teams as far as trade rumors are concerned.

The two big names on their trade front continue to be Peter Holland and James van Riemsdyk, but in van Riemsdyk case we got our first solid bit of confirmation that the Leafs were legitimately looking to move him during TSN's Insider Trading this week.

Insider Bob McKenzie had this to say about a potential move from the Leafs involving van Riemsdyk:

"So the logical name at some point whether it's this season before the deadline, or next season or in the offseason, is James van Riemsdyk. You're going to be hearing a lot of that one because that is something that logically makes sense to trade a winger like van Riemsdyk for a defenseman."

As far as who could be interested in van Riemsdyk? McKenzie didn't speculate on where he could end up but there has been a ton of scouting back and forth between the Calgary Flames and the Toronto Maple Leafs as of late so there may be something brewing on that front.
