This just in, the Buffalo Sabres have signed free agent goaltender Dustin Tokarski to a two year contract worth $725,000 per season.

The 31 year old Tokarski has established himself as an AHL journeyman over the course of his career, appearing in just 34 NHL games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Montreal Canadiens, and Anaheim Ducks. He played 18 games with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins last season, putting up a ridiculous 1.97 goals against average and .925 save percentage.
If Tokarski's name sounds familiar it's because he was a big part of a star studded team Canada at the 2009 World Junior Championships. Remember this?
Tokarski would go on to capture a gold medal with Canada in that tournament alongside future NHL stars like John Tavares, Jamie Benn, Jordan Eberle, Evander Kane, P.K. Subban, Alex Pietrangelo and Ryan Ellis.
