Former hockey coach rips Habs forward!
KeyStone Press

Former hockey coach, notably in the QMJHL, Eric Lavigne was analysing the styles of play of different NHL players, Thursday in an interview on the French radio FM93 in Quebec City.

He explained that there is a big difference between a player that can center a line and once that cannot handle the position. His comparaison hit Alex Galchenyuk versus Jonathan Drouin of the Montreal Canadiens

Lavigne was hard on Galchenyuk, who he said "does not have a hockey IQ". The former coach noted that the 23-year-old may have great instinct, but he lacks intelligence to compete at a center position and be better than Drouin.

Do you agree with Lavigne? Should Galchenyuk stick to the wing and work harder to perform better?

Habs coach Claude Julien did not want to comment on his young player on Friday.
