The ECHL has just handed down a historic 16 game suspension to Emerson Clark of the Jacksonville Icemen after his part in a brutal on-ice brawl between his team and the Fort Wayne Komets earlier this season.

About midway through a chippy game between the two teams things got out of control when Clark engaged with Komets goalie Patrick Munson. Clark throws punches at Munson right in from of the Komets bench and… well all Hell breaks loose.

The Komets all start pounding Clark until he can be pulled away by one of the linesman. Now here’s where Clark earns his suspension…

While essentially being held by the linesman, Clark strips off his jersey and manages to wriggle free. He then, off frame, strips the linesman of his jerseys and breaks free to re-engage with some Komets players.

Check it all out below:

Crazy! Only in the Coast!

Clark, who attended Toronto Maple Leafs training camp last season and ended up playing six games with the team’s AHL affiliate Toronto Marlies, will now sit out 16 games as a result of his actions.
