The family of legendary NHLer Andre Boudrias has confirmed that the former Montreal Canadiens, Minnesota North Stars, St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks and Quebec Nordiques forward has passed away at age 75.

Boudrias is probably best known for his time with the Canucks in the 1970s, where he served as the team’s captain for the 1975-76 season. Boudrias was a high scoring center on those early Canucks teams and provided new Vancouver hockey fans with plenty of highlight reel material.

After playing two years in the WHA with the Nordiques, Boudrias retired from professional hockey, finishing his career with an impressive 151 goals and 491 points in just 662 games.

Following his playing days, Boudrias served as an assistant general manager for the Canadian for 12 years, playing a key role in the Canadiens Stanley Cup championships in 1986 and 1993.

In 1994, he joined the New Jersey Devils organization where he spent two decades as a scout, helping build a team that captured three Stanley Cup championships.
