There have been a lot of changes for forward Max Pacioretty ever since he went from being the Montreal Canadiens captain to one of the forwards on the Vegas Golden Knights' roster. While the veteran forward appeared relieved following the trade that was quite the saga in the Habs' dressing room, it still meant many changes would take place in her personal life. On Wednesday, Pacioretty managed to put one distraction aside when he finally sold one of his houses, according to the Montreal Gazette

It is good news the former National Hockey League former captain since things haven't gone smoothly on the ice since he became a member of the Golden Knights. Pacioretty wasn't able to put his name on the scoresheet in the Golden Knights’ 4-1 home win over the Buffalo Sabres Tuesday night, limited to one shot on goal in 13:24 of ice time.

In his first seven games with Vegas since being traded by the Canadiens during the off-season, Pacioretty has tallied just one goal to go along with a minus-3 while averaging 16:33 of ice time. After making it to the Stanley Cup final as an expansion team last season, the Knights are off to a 3-4-0 start this year, which isn't what many people expected...

So the good news for Pacioretty is that he got richer on Wednesday: as the Montreal Gazette reported: "Douglas Elliman Real Estate announced it has sold his home in Boca Raton, Fla., for US$3.1 million only five days after it was  put on the market. The house, located in the prestigious Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club community, had been listed at $3.45 million."

Here is a look at the community where the home is. The house is "built on a 17,142 square-foot lot, has smart-house technology, a safe room and an indoor/outdoor basketball and sports court, along with five bedrooms and 4.5 bath rooms. The home has 13-foot ceilings, marble flooring, an outdoor summer kitchen, a salt-water pool and an artificial-turf lawn."

It's not like the former NHL captain needed to fill his pockets some more Pacioretty is in the final season of a six-year, $27-million contract with an average annual salary of $4.5 million.

Once the trade with the Golden Knights was completed, he inked a four-year contract extension to stay in Vegas long-term. The deal is worth $28 million, and will kick in next season.
