Former NHL star absolutely destroys former head coach!

The New York Rangers have hired former Buffalo Sabres, Dallas Stars head coach Lindy Ruff as an assistant coach a few weeks ago. Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault said he was glad to have the 57-year-old on his staff, and that he believes he can bring a lot to the team.

However, according to KHL insider Slava Malamud, Ruff reportedly has a pretty bad reputation in Russia, especially because of how he treated some Russian players in the past, such as Valeri Nichushkin in Dallas, or Maxim Afinogenov in Buffalo. As a matter of fact, the latter had a lot to say about his former coach:

We already knew that Ruff had somewhat of a bad temper, but we certainly did not expect to hear such things about him, especially coming from a player like Afinogenov, who played under Ruff's orders for nine seasons.

Ruff has coached the Buffalo Sabres from 1997 to 2012, before joining the Stars in 2013. He recorded 736 wins, 554 losses, 78 ties and 125 overtime losses, and won the Jack Adams trophy, awarded to the league's best coach, in 2006.
