Former NHL star Joe Juneau who played 828 games with the Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, Buffalo Sabres, Ottawa Senators, Phoenix Coyotes and Montreal Canadiens took to social media this afternoon to share a personal story of tragedy and absolute devastation.

Juneau’s family home at Lake Sept-Iles in Saint-Raymond, Quebec went up in flames last night. The home is completely destroyed, along with all of the family’s possessions.

C’est avec énormément de tristesse et d’émotion que nous avons vécu l’incendie et la perte totale de notre maison...

It is with a lot of sadness and emotion that we have lived the fire and total loss of our family home at Lake Sept-Iles in Saint-Raymond. It was a night and a infernal night where a huge part of our lives went on fire in just a few hours. But the most important thing is that everyone is alive and that no one has been hurt in this tragedy.

Awful. Our condolences to the Juneau family. Here’s hoping they can get back up on their feet and again, we’re just thankful that no one was hurt.
