A former National Hockey League defenseman is reportedly calling it quits.
Former Anaheim Mighty Duck and Atlanta Thrasher Mark Popovic will be retiring from the game of hockey according to a report from his most recent team, Klagenfurt AC of the Austrian league.
Popovic was a second round draft choice of the Anaheim Ducks all the way back in the 2001 draft, but he would leave the league after the 2009-2010 season to go play in Europe.

Popovic would extend his career 7 more seasons overseas playing in the aforementioned Austrian league, the Swiss League, and the Kontinental Hockey League.
