Former NHLer comes to Galchenyuk's rescue!
Keystone Press

Alex Galchenyuk is certainly not playing as well as Habs' management and fans would expect since the start of the season. He wasn't able to record a single point in four games, and had to miss today's practice because of flu-like symptoms. However, former NHLer Jeff O'Neill decided to offer the 23-year-old a piece of advice on his official Twitter account.

O'Neill, who played in the NHL between 1995 and 2007, told Galchy that it's time to make an important decision:

O'Neill became a hockey analyst for TSN after he was done in the NHL. Even though this kind of tweet may seem harsh, this may be just was Galchenyuk needs after such a rough season start.

Both players had a pretty similar draft: O'Neill was drafted 5th overall in 1994, and had a tremendous amount of pressure on his shoulders. He had a few difficult seasons before become a 60-point scorer for a couple of years.

He ended his career with 496 points in 821 games in the NHL with the Hartford Whalers, who then became the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
