A former National Hockey League veteran has officially announced his retirement after spending the last several years of his career playing overseas.

According to a report from NBC Sports Jan Bulis, who spent the last eight seasons of his pro hockey career in the Kontinental Hockey League, has officialy retired from professional hockey.

Despite such a lengthy stint in the KHL, Bulis will be remembered by many NHL fans having played over 550 games in the league, most of which came during his time as a member of the Montreal Canadiens organization. Bulis also spent time with the Washington Capitals and Vancouver Canucks during his NHL career.

Over his 552 NHL games he was a decent producer as well, putting up 96 goals and 149 assists over that stretch. We wish Bulis nothing but the best in the next phase of his life.
