A former National Hockey League forward has reportedly made the decision to return to the NHL.

After spending three seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League, 27-year-old center Andrei Loktionov has signed a professional tryout offer with the Los Angeles Kings organization according to a report from CBS Sports.

The Kings were the team that originally drafted Loktionov all the way back in the fifth round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, although he only played 59 career NHL games with them before being moved to the New Jersey Devils and eventually ending off his NHL tenure with the Carolina Hurricanes.

This deal does not mean Loktionov is guaranteed a spot on the Kings roster next season, however should he impress during training camp it seems fair to say he has a solid shot of making the squad.
