According to a third hand report out of Russia, former Edmonton Oilers and St. Louis Blues forward Ty Rattie has been placed on waivers by KHL team Yaroslavl Lokomotiv.

Check it out:

Interestingly enough, Rattie is the third leading scorer on Yaroslavl behind other former NHLers Anton Lander and Stephane De Costa. Lokomotiv also signed former Oilers forward Magnus Pajaarvi earlier this week. Looking for another Oilers tie-in? Lokomotiv is the same team that hired and then fired former Oilers player, coach and GM Craig MacTavish after just nine games.

It’s clear that something is fishy in Yaroslavl, but neither Rattie nor the organization have addressed his surprise waiving. Stay tuned.
