Former player turned celebrity dies in tragic helicopter accident.

The hockey world is reeling as a result of the tragic death of former QJMHL player turned celebrity Roberto Bissonnette, better know as simply "Bob."

His death was announced via an official statement from the Quebec Capitals, a minor league baseball club that Bissonnette owned a share of:

"The entire Capitals organization offers its sympathies to the families and relatives of the victims," said the team via a French language statement on social media.

While Bissonnette would go on to garner far more success and recognition as a singer than he ever did as a hockey player he never forgot his roots and in fact maintained strong ties with several National Hockey League players who he played with during his junior days.In fact the picture you see above is from an evening where Pittsburgh Penguin Max Talbot brought the Stanley Cup on stage during one of Bob's shows.
