A big class action is building up against the NHL following years of what is claimed to be mismanagement of head injuries. Former and current players who suffered damaging concussion try to prove to the court that the NHL was negligent and didn't deal with the issue correctly.

A new name was added to the list today when we learned Guillaume Latendresse was suing the league too.

This comes at no surprise, as Latendresse was heard many times complaining about the impacts of his career on his daily life. Although he only played 341 games in the NHL, Latendresse suffered concussions repeatedly. This is in fact a part of his very early retirement from the sport.

Whether it's proven the NHL is guilty or not remains to be seen However, no one should live their whole life with mood disorders and constant headaches. Concussions are the hot topic in professional sports these days and it's totally justified when you read such stories.
