We have a shocking news story involving a former Stanley Cup Champion, and it's one that paints a dark picture of what direction his life may currently be taking.

According to a report from Swedish newspaper Expressen, veteran free-agent Jiri Hudler has been arrested following a wild outburst on a plane that was flying from New York to Prague.

The sordid tale began when Hudler reportedly asked the flight attendant for "coke," a demand that the flight attendant promptly responded to by bringing him over a coca-cola, but that wasn't what Hudler wanted.

According to the report that is when Hudler began getting aggressive with the staff, demanding not coca-cola but cocaine, and when the staff informed him that the substance was illegal, that's when the violent threats began.

Hudler then informed the flight attendant that when they landed in Prague he was going to call his friends to take care of her, when asked to clarify that is when the Hudler made a death threat. According to the flight attendant Hudler made it clear that he intended to call his friends to arrange a murder.

Perhaps the strangest part of this story comes when Hudler got up to go to the bathroom after all of this had already transpired, and although part of the quote is clearly lost in translation here, you get the general idea.

"He tried to urinate on our caravan, so I had to catch him," said the flight attendant.

Hudler has unsurprisingly denied the flight attendant's version of events, but this incident could go a long way to explaining why NHL teams haven't considered him a viable option this summer.
