Former Dallas Stars, Washington Capitals and Philadelphia Flyers forward Michael Raffl has signed a deal with Lausanne HC of the Swiss National League.

"Michael has proven his worth as a leader in the NHL and in the Austrian national team," said LHC head coach John Fust in a statement on the team's website. "He has a versatile profile, since he can play in the center or on the wing. We look forward to having him in our organization for the next two seasons ."

The 33 year old forward put up seven goals and 16 points in 76 games with the Stars last season, but is probably most known from his eight seasons with the Flyers. His best season came in 2015-16 with the Flyers when he put up 13 goals and 31 points. The season prior he managed 21 goals, but fewer total points.

With his signing in Switzerland though, it appears that Raffl's NHL career is over. In total he put up 89 goals and 179 points in 590 games played.
