24-year-old Tomas Nosek injured his right knee during last Monday’s Reds vs Whites scrimmage after colliding with his teammate Steve Ott.

The Grand Rapids Griffins center listed at 6’2” and 210 pounds is looking to make the permanent jump in the NHL after posting 15 goals and 30 points in 70 AHL games last season. While there’s no telling just where he’ll fit within the forward group that’s already saturated, he could take an injured player’s place albeit in a defensive role, similarly to the 6 games he played with the big club in 2015-2016.

Fortunately, he began skating today, and Ott apologized to him after Monday's game even if Nosek does not think the veteran forward is at fault:

“...right after practice, came to me and apologized. I think it's not (Ott's) fault. It was like, I left my leg, so it’s, like, curved. It was good hit (sic),” he told the Detroit Free Press.
