This just in, the Montreal Canadiens have signed unrestricted free agent winger Michael Frolik to a one year contract worth $750,000.

Check it out:

The 32 year old Frolik split last season between the Calgary Flames and the Buffalo Sabres, putting up six goals and 14 points in 57 games. The former 10th overall selection from the 2006 NHL Entry Draft has established himself as a reliable two-way winger over the past decade and had real success with the Flames when partnered with Michael Backlund.

It'll be interesting to see how he factors into the Canadiens' lineup given the logjam they have on right wing with Tomas Tatar, Tyler Toffoli, Paul Byron and Joel Armia already in place.
