Add another name to the roster in Vegas as George McPhee and the Golden Knights have announced that they’ve selected defenceman Deryk Engelland from the Calgary Flames in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft.
The draft, currently ongoing as part of the NHL Awards show in Las Vegas, stipulates that teams may only protect a maximum of 10 skaters and 1 goaltender and evidently Engelland didn’t make the cut for the Flames.
In 469 career NHL games, he has produced 22 goals and 86 points.
