Add another name to the roster in Vegas as George McPhee and the Golden Knights have announced that they’ve selected forward Brendan Leipsic from the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft.
The draft, currently ongoing as part of the NHL Awards show in Las Vegas, stipulates that teams may only protect a maximum of 10 skaters and 1 goaltender and evidently Leipsic didn’t make the cut for the Leafs.
In just 6 career NHL games, he has produced one goals and three points. He put up 18 goals and 51 points in 49 games with the AHL's Toronto Marlies in 2016-17.
