Senators expected to have a new lineup tonight

Tonight’s game against the Boston Bruins is the closest thing the Ottawa Senators have had to a “must-win” all season, but don’t tell that to head coach Guy Boucher. The Sens bench boss has been coaching with a “must-win” philosophy for the better part of the season.

Luckily for Boucher and his Senators, they’ll have some reinforcements in the lineup when they take on the Bruins at Canadian Tire Centre tonight. Breakout winger Ryan Dzingel returns to the lineup tonight and veteran forward Chris Kelly is expected to suit up if Viktor Stalberg decides he can’t go. The biggest piece returning player though is defenseman Marc Methot.

Methot has been on the shelf since Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby nearly amputated his pinky finger with a vicious two-handed slash in March. Methot’s addition to the Sens backend should provide them with a huge boost as they attempt to even up their series with the B’s before travelling to Boston for game 3 and game 4.
