GAME DAY REPORT: Tonight’s line revealed by coach Joel Quenneville.
Keystone Press

It’s gameday! When the Chicago Blackhawks take the ice for game 2 of their opening round playoff series against the Nashville Predators tonight at the United Center, they’ll do so with a stacked forward group that’s healthy for the first time all season.

With both goal-scoring ability and two-way defensive ability throughout the lineup, the Hawks will have no excuses if they can’t pull even with the Preds in the series by winning tonight’s game. The team’s third line in particular, which features Nick Schmaltz, Marcus Kruger and Marian Hossa has the potential to rival Nashville’s second line of Kevin Fiala, Mike Fisher and James Neal. That’s saying nothing about their top two lines which feature Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Artemi Panarin and a healthy Artem Anisimov.

The Predators will need to keep their heads up when the Hawks fourth line hits the ice, as well. Dennis Rasmussen, Tanner Kero and Jordin Tootoo will have no problem throwing their weight around. Expect some fireworks!
