Familiar face returns to the lineup.

Can the Detroit Red Wings make it four victories in a row tonight?

Head coach Jeff Blashill's team has its eyes set on continuing on one of its rare hot streaks of the "Farewell Season at the Joe", as the Red Wings take on the Buffalo Sabres tonight at the First Niagara Center.

Winners of three consecutive games against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins, they will welcome back a familiar face in veteran forward Darren Helm tonight, who has been sidelined with a shoulder dislocation injury for a little over two months.

Initially slated to miss approximately six weeks, it appears that Helm's rehabilitation has finally come to an end, as the 29-year-old will look to build upon his four goals and seven points in 17 games played starting tonight in Buffalo.

This means that the likely candidate to sit tonight's matchup out is Drew Miller, and veteran defenseman Niklas Kronwall is not quite ready to make his return just yet.

Helm is expected to centre Justin Abdelkader and Luke Glendening, who reportedly felt ill earlier today but will also be fit for duty.
