The Detroit Red Wings will begin their 6 game road trip tonight with a stop close to home, when they'll play the Buffalo Sabres.

Both teams have been struggling lately with three straight losses. Buffalo only scored three goals in their last three games and Detroit can't seem to get the key saves from their goaltenders. Despite allowing 4 goals to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Petr Mrazek will be in net for Detroit.

Sabres' head coach Dan Bylsma looked surprised when talking about his team lack of scoring:

"I am surprised a little bit given the opportunities that we've had, given the situations our team has been in," Sabres coach Dan Bylsma said Friday. "I am surprised that we don't have more goals. Not by one particular person specifically, but I am surprised. We've created and done things you need to do to score goals and we haven't always gotten them throughout the year."

In Detroit, head coach Jeff Blashill is still uncertain about his line combinations:

"We're still debating on that internally on which way we're going to go to give our guys the best chance to be successful."

Buffalo could play without forward Tyler Ennis because of an upper-body injury and defenseman Mark Pysyk will miss the game as he will need at least 5 practices to get back in game shape.

The Wings could play without Tomas Jurco, but no decision has been taken yet. If he can't play, Joakim Andersson will take his place in the Wings' lineup.
