Details inside.
The Detroit Red Wings will have the chance to take the lead of the Atlantic division tonight.
The Wings will visit a former divisional foe when they'll play the Wild in Minnesota.
According to head coach Jeff Blashill, young star forward Dylan Larkin won't be part of the lineup. His injury is not head related and he is not part oh=f the NHL's concussion protocol. Larkin would like to play, but it could prove to be unwise:
"I want to play [Monday] but I don't know if I'm ready or not."
The Wild will most certainly be without Devan Dubnyk who suffered a pressure cut on Sunday, during practice. Darcy Kuemper will get the start tonight, still undefeated in regulation this season.
Forward Zach Parise was also injured in yesterday's practice, but will play tonight.
Head coach Mike Yeo says that Parise was taken off the ice for precautionary reasons.
"He could have continued through practice," Yeo said. "But we just said, 'What's the point? Let's get him off and get him rested.'"
Head coach Jeff Blashill has named Petr Mrazek has the starter tonight, while Jimmy Howard will face the Winnipeg Jets tomorrow.
