The banged up Toronto Maple Leafs face off against the Philadelphia Flyers tonight at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, but will do so without superstar Auston Matthews in the lineup.
After losing 10 consecutive games, the Flyers are on a surprising win streak, after sweeping western Canada with victories over the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks.
The Leafs have recalled forward Kasperi Kapanen from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies, but it appears he’ll be in the press box for tonight’s game. Josh Leivo will take Matthews’ spot in the lineup and skate on the team’s fourth line alongside Dominic Moore and Matt Martin. So, how does the rest of the lineup shake down? Here’s are the forward lines and defence pairings according to DailyFaceoff.com:
Komarov - Kadri - Nylander
Van Riemsdyk - Bozak - Marner
Hyman - Marleau - Brown
Martin - Moore - Leivo
Rielly - Hainsey
Gardiner - Zaitsev
Borgman - Polak
Andersen
McElhinney
Tonight’s tilt in Philly is the start of a three game road trip for the Leafs, who will play the Minnesota Wild on Thursday and the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.
It’s gameday, Leafs fans! Final score predictions?
