Yesterday in Boston, the Rangers faced defeat in the overtime at the hands of the red-hot Bruins. Today, the Blueshirts look to bounce back as they travel back close to home to face their arch nemesis, the New Jersey Devils.

Ahead of the Rangers' second game in less than 24 hours, David Quinn made a few announcements regarding his team's lineup.

First of all, it was confirmed by Quinn that Alexandar Georgiev would be the starting netminder on Jersey this afternoon. Lundqvist got the start yesterday and will have an opportunity to rest today as his backup steps in. Georgiev hasn't been performing well at all recently. It will be interesting to see how he bounces back from his previous terrible outings.

Quinn also announced another minor change to the formation. Boo Nieves will be left aside this afternoon as the hard-nosed Michael Haley steps into the lineup to replace him. Look for Haley to rattle a few cages this afternoon. That is his bread and butter after all and it may prove to be very useful as the Rangers get set to face their bitter rivals.

As Boo Nieves vacates the center position on the 4th line, it will be interesting to see who replaces him in that role, as Michael Haley usually plays on the wing. It may mean a total modification of the Rangers' lineup, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet by Quinn.

Here is the Rangers' projected lineup for the upcoming matinee based on yesterday's lineup and according to the announcements made by Quinn this morning:

Forwards:

Chris Kreider - Mike Zibanejad - Pavel Buchnevich

Artemi Panarin - Ryan Strome - Jesper Fast

Brendan Lemieux - Filip Chytil - Kaapo Kakko

Brendan Smith - Brett Howden - Michael Haley

Defensemen:

Brady Skjei - Jacob Trouba

Ryan Lindgren - Adam Fox

Libor Hajek - Tony DeAngelo

Goaltenders:

Henrik Lundqvist

Alexandar Georgiev

Boo Nieves will yet again be a healthy scratch. Meanwhile, Greg McKegg and Marc Staal both feature on the injury reserve list.
