Goalie controversy as backup begins to take more starts.

The Dallas Stars made a huge trade when they acquired goaltender Ben Bishop from the Tampa Bay Lightning, but surprisingly Bishop seems to be losing his grasp on the Dallas net.

Stars insider Mike Heika reported today that once again backup goaltender Kari Lehtonen would be getting the start on Friday night when the Stars face off against the New Jersey Devils.

According to Heika Bishop will get a start on Saturday however that comes off of a back to back so it's in no way a sign that Ken Hitchcock has faith in his ability to hold down the net.

Surprisingly Lehtonen has been outperforming Bishop this season, something the Stars were obviously not expecting when they signed Bishop to a massive deal worth just under $30 million over the course of the next 6 years.

While Bishop is more than likely your number one goalie for the long-term, his lackluster performances and a surprising level of play from Lehtonen is causing a major controversy in goal for the Stars this season,
